LLoyd George: War Leader by John Grigg
This is a really good book, I’ve read it several times. It is a very sympathetic view of LLoyd George and full of interesting detail on the conduct of the WW1 at the highest levels. If you are interested in the first war you should read this.
A negative aspect of LLoyd George was his suicide pact with Frances Stevenson. If either one of them died, the other should kill themselves because they wouldn’t want to live. Except that he wouldn’t do this, because his work was so important. Seems like a creep. But maybe none of us are human.
