MI6: The History of the Secret Intelligence Service 1909-1949 by Keith Jeffery

I read this to complete the set after reading the MI5 history. However, I found the latter more
interesting. Perhaps I was distracted.

¬°Comrades! Portraits from the Spanish Civil War by Paul Preston

This was a sequence of biographies from the civil war and I enjoyed it. I read Professor Preston’s history of the Spanish Civil War previously and was not sure if I enjoyed it. But this was great.

I particularly enjoyed the chapter on Dolores Ib√°rruri. Previously I had thought of her as a one dimensional CP hack, but I found much more.
