Dreyfus a Family Affair 1789 – 1945 by Michael Burns

A history of the Dreyfus family over two centuries including the famous affair. Interesting because it sets the affair into a general context of french politics, the history of Jews in France and the role of Alsace. It starts with Jewish emancipation in the revolution, through the affair into World War II and persecution of Jews under Vichy.
