Ada Lovelace Bride of Science: Romance, Reason and Byron’s Daughter by Benjamin Woolley
I read this to get background on Ada Lovelace as part of my research for Stephen’s blog for the bicentenary of her birth.
I didn’t like the opening which describes the courtship of Annabella Milbanke and Lord Byron. I warmed slightly to it, I suppose it gives a brief and not unreadable account of Ada Lovelace. It is not very technical in terms of the mathematics and computer technology, but maybe many people are not interested in this.
